Josh Leutzinger was raised in the Chugiak-Eagle River community. A Class of ’98 Alum Josh started his career in the fire service in Palmer, AK in 2002 working on various wildland fire crews until he joined the Anchorage Fire Department in November of 2017.

When Josh is not at work he keeps busy by hanging out with his fiancé, being physically active, learning, reading, sewing and traveling; in no particular order. Josh currently resides in the Matanuska Valley.

Throughout his time in the fire service Josh has seen numerous occasions a peer support program would have been a necessary tool. Josh is proud to be a part of a group which could provide assistance to those who need the type of tools peer supporters can offer.
