John Paff is currently a Captain and 18 year veteran at the Anchorage Fire Department. John started as a Jr. volunteer in 1981 while still in high school and went on to begin his firefighting career for Polk County Fire Department in Florida in 1990.

 

John was also was enlisted in the Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and the Alaska Air National Guard from 1986-2006 serving in Missile Maintenance, Pararescue, and Command and Control.

 

John is intimately familiar with the challenges that come with working in high stress work environments while being away from home, overcoming personal limitations, and interpersonal relationships.

 

To continue his journey of serving and helping others John has become a certified Strategic Interventionist (Life Coach) and is also studying for his Masters in Counseling.
